Skyscapes and Landscapes
This oil on canvas series varies in size and is rooted in the Hudson River School technique.
Some are simple statements expressing the vision of a landscape. Some combine
investigation into elements of dynamic symmetry and form into visual poetic images.
These works are a result of many field studies and are often painted from a memory of a
place or time.
Some are created with oil paint and some are acrylic paint. Each medium has its benefits
and its difficulties. As an art instructor in both mediums, I enjoy their differing properties.
