Andrea M. Shresta ( American, born 1983) and Anna R. Stork ( American, born 1986) As students at Columbia university, they were assigned a task to find a way to help in disaster relief where light was needed. They invented LuminAID , and inflatable waterproof solar powered light and phone charger. They used crowd funding to make the first thousand lights and were able to give free lights to disaster relief organizations through their website. Later they took an offer for a deal on the television show SHARK TANK. Mixed Media. 10 by 10. |
