"To Feel Safe #1" |
Maria Van Britain Brown (American 1922-1999) Brown invented a home security system in 1966 along with her husband Albert Brown. A patent was granted in 1969. Brown worked as a nurse coming home at all hours to an empty house. She solved the problem of security with her early closed circuit security system which had a camera, a microphone, remote control door opener and a button to alert security or the police. Her invention is still being used today in millions of businesses and residential living facilities around the world. Mixed Media, 17" x 9" x 3". Available through Meibohm Fine Arts. |
